Backing tracks are a great way to improve your
playing and are fun too. Take a song, remove
the voice and guitar parts and you have a
backing track. You can then play the
guitar part yourself.
If you are in a band you can use backing tracks to
practice when the rest of the guys are getting drunk!
You don't have to organize a time to meet a backing track, a backing track will always turn up and stay as long as you want, or go away when you've had enough, backing tracks
don't drink all of your beer, or hit on your girlfriend and a backing track has no ego!!!
If you are a bedroom guitarist and play along to CD's you don't know what you are missing.
You will notice how far out your timing is and the more you play to backing tracks the more your timing will improve.
